I like re-creating some recipes by shaving hundreds of calories and just make them fit right in to my macros. Cutting simply 200 calories from one meal will add up 1400 calories per week. That means you can lose just about 1/2 pound a week just by doing that.
Original Recipe called for 674 calories with 34 grams of fat , 44 grams of protein and 49 grams of carbohydrates.

Ingredients for Salmon and Salad
- 1 cup frozen corn
- 2 gloves garlic
- 1 stalk green onions
- 1 pound salmon
- 1 pack sugar snap peas ( 297 grams)
- 4 medium organic Russet Potatoes ( about 21 ounces)
- 1 and 1/2 table spoon olive oil
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 2 tsp smoked paprika
- 2 tablespoon fresh dill
- 1 tsp Dry Dill
- 1 lemon , squeezed juice ( for Salmon)
- 1 teaspoon
- Organic Cooking Spray
Instructions:
- Pre-Heat oven to 450
- Medium dice the potatoes ( cut into 3/4 inch cubes) and transfer the baking sheet ( use parchment paper if necessary)
- Add the corn to the potatoes
- Drizzle 1/2 table spoon olive oil, and season with salt & pepper; toss to coat, then arrange in a single layer.
- Place the sheet in the oven and roast 20 minutes
- Cut snap peas crosswise ( at an angle) into 1/4 inch pieces
- Add snap peas into potato & corn mix when oven timer hits 20 minute and cook everything additional 10 more minutes.
- In a mixing bowl; add chopped fresh dill, chopped scallion , paprika , salt & pepper , 1 table spoon olive oil.
- While potato, corn and snap peas cooking, pat dry the salmon with paper towel and place salmon skin side down on baking sheet. Season with dry dill , squeezed lemon juice , chopped garlic , salt and pepper.
- Place Salmon into Oven and cook for 20 – 25 minutes.
- Once the potatoes are tender, remove them from the oven , transfer into salad bowl. Mix ingredients together.
Homemade Tzatziki Sauce:
Ingredients :
- 1 cup Cream top Whole Milk Yogurt ( Trader Joe’s)
- 1 small cucumber , chopped fine
- 1/2 tsp Sumac ( if you cant find sumac , it is ok)
- 1 tablespoon fresh dill , chopped
- 1 teaspoon dry mint
- 1/2 tsp olive oil
Mix everything in a bowl.
