Baking Pantry Essentials

Vibrance

Keep at least 1 flavor protein powder to add on to your baking. I like Maximum Vibrance. It is slightly expensive than what is in the market , but i rather pay little extra and get a good quality protein , vitamins and minerals than eat  or drink chemical. If you look at label behind it , you will know why paying few bucks extra wont hurt your body. Most people make mistake while dieting , they just eat crap.

Powdered Peanut Butter

Less fat , Less carb , less calories but adds on that awesome peanut butter flavor.

oatmeal
Oatmeal , old fashioned

Oatmeal , nothing will go wrong with it. It doesn’t have to be gluten free unless you are gluten intolerant. I like Bob’s red Mill products. They are great in price and quality is amazing. Oatmeal is an essential carbohydrate that everyone should have it i their pantry. I use only old fashioned for baking. Instant oatmeal so super thin and more processed. Steel cut or old fashioned rolled oats will give you more fiber per gram.

coconut
Reduced fat Coconut

I like using reduced fat Shredded Coconuts. I can get this brand from whole foods or Vitacost.com . But it doesnt have to be reduced fat. Trader Joe’s and Bob’s Red mill has a great one as well. Just make sure it is “UNSWEETENED”.  But you can shave about 10 grams of fat per serving if you choose reduced fat.

chiaspectrum

Chia Seeds and Ground Flaxseed. I like them both. They both can be substitute for eggs.Flax seeds or Chia Seeds (1 tbsp ground Flax seeds +3 tbsp Water =1 egg.

  • Chia seeds are high in omega-3 fatty acids.
  • Chia seeds promote a healthy digestive tract — relieving constipation, diarrhea, and inflammation.
  • Chia seeds are gluten-free and grain-free.
  • Chia seeds are an excellent source of magnesium.

1 ounce (3 tbsp) serving of flaxseeds contains:

  • Omega-3 (ALA) 6,338mg
  • Fiber 8g
  • Protein 6g
  • Vitamin B1 31% RDA
  • Manganese 35% RDA
  • Magnesium 30% RDA
  • Phosphorus 19% RDA
  • Selenium 10% RDA
  • Also, flaxseeds contain a good amount of vitamin B6, Iron, potassium, copper and zinc.

Beside all of those main ingredients , you can always keep Cocoa powder and peanut butter.

Lets get to baking!!
